I've had a great discussion with my team this morning. We're still aiming for the videos and the book containing all of my surf lessons but now we're also designing an app for smartphones! The app which, on top of my regular surf lessons, will also contain sections at the end of each lesson including: common mistakes to avoid; exercises to help train your body for that particular lesson; plus little tips & tricks that can make all the difference to learning quickly and correctly.
Once, I had a dream, a Digital Surf School where you could learn to surf with me through videos and other digital media. But I never really got it going. I got caught up with life and other projects. I worked as a Surf Instructor for 3 years with very long hours and very little energy left for anything else. I had a big family issue to deal with. My heart got broken. Other projects got in the way. After finishing with local surf schools I set up and opened my shop, Surf Shop Segunda Mano - Tenerife. But one project at a time. I was chatting with one of my old surf students yesterday, Laura, she was a great support to me getting my Digital Surf School back when she was learning to surf. My shop has been open and running for 9 months now. I'm ready to get back to my Digital Surf School. There will be nothing to see for the first 2-3 months while I'm setting it all up but watch this space, there will be little updates here and there.
My new facebook page is "Surf Instructor Lynn Jane" please take a look and click "Like" to support my page. Thank you! :) https://www.facebook.com/LynnJaneSurf
My surf shop is now open to the public! :)
66% of my book has been spell checked and proofread. Just a few more days and the whole thing will be complete.
My book is in it's final stages, spell-checking and proofreading. I never realized how much has to go into it all! But I'm getting there little by little. I'm so very grateful for all of your support and patience <3

Amazing waves today! Long and clean and beautiful with offshore wind, barrel after barrel, it might as well have been Bali! I'm totally going down for the dawn shift tomorrow!! :D
Today I gave a surf lesson to 11 people ...on my own!! So I took a Vemma in the morning AND a Verve just before the lesson! And I've had energy ALL day! It's 10 o'clock at night and I'm still wide awake! I'm normally just barely keeping my eyes open by now doing these lessons every day! haha. That extra Verve really helped today :) The waves were quite small so I got to spend a little time with each one in the water even though we were a big group :) Everyone managed to catch waves and most managed to stand up too ...I'm very proud of you all!! x
Why do I surf? Because there's no better feeling! There's nothing else in the world that makes me feel how I feel when I'm surfing!
I teach others to surf so they can experience that same feeling and see why I love it so much. And I love teaching people to surf because they are always so appreciative; my last student came back after the lesson with a box of chocolates for me!! :D

I've just been invited to the CONFITAL KAHUNA PRO surf contest! :D
I had a great lesson today. Only 5 students but they all did really well and everyone managed to sand up on the board for at least for a few seconds... not bad for their first time surfing! :)
